We travelled to a pond in Arbroath often during the month of January as we found a pair of Northern Pintail ducks who were very happy around people, as they were often fed by locals.

They have such an amazingly detailed and patterned feathers, and the brown, black and white with hints of red and pink are just beautiful.

Over the month, I also photographed Tufted Ducks, Wigeons and some Coots with their beautiful pink beaks.
